We have been  working with NHS Walsall since 1994 to develop a broad and innovative programme of Arts into Health work. We have a management and development role for an extensive programme of bespoke projects that utilise a range of creative processes and approaches to

  • consult around local health needs,
  • promote key health messages,
  • provide interventions and
  • tackle health inequalities.

  • Catch Me Before I Fall

    Catch Me Before I Fall

    ‘Catch Me Before I Fall’ – sometimes known as ‘The Great Project’ – was developed by Walsall Council Creative Development Team to encourage people with a learning disability to become regular users of existing leisure services in Walsall.

    ‘Catch Me Before I Fall’ was financed by a Communities For Health (Public Health) fund and the Creative Development Team worked in partnership with Walsall Learning Disability Partnership Board and third sector organisation Mencap to deliver the project.

    ‘Is this what you want?’ Domestic Abuse Film

    ‘Is this what you want?’ is a thought provoking psychological drama which explores and raises awareness around domestic abuse and healthy and unhealthy relationships. The participatory film project engaged local young people in the consultation and film making process who through creative workshops developed helped develop the storyline for the film.

    NHS Dudley Public Health in partnership with Walsall Council Creative Development Team are currently delivering a creative arts and health project that will raise awareness to the signs and symptoms for cervical, breast and bowel cancer to encourage people to seek help sooner and to access local screening services.
