Catch Me Before I Fall
‘Catch Me Before I Fall’ – sometimes known as ‘The Great Project’ – was developed by Walsall Council Creative Development Team to encourage people with a learning disability to become regular users of existing leisure services in Walsall.
‘Catch Me Before I Fall’ was financed by a Communities For Health (Public Health) fund and the Creative Development Team worked in partnership with Walsall Learning Disability Partnership Board and third sector organisation Mencap to deliver the project.

One Call For All- Lifestyle Link
A social marketing project to increase the uptake of Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust Lifestyle Services through the promotion of the new ‘One Call for All’ single phone line and online booking system. The Creative Development Team worked in collaboration with Blue and White Creative to deliver the project which involved research and creative consultation to inform the development of new promotional resources and media campaigns.

Fun 4 Life
A creative consultation project was commissioned in March 2009 aiming to inform the delivery and structure of Fun 4 Life sessions and the development of a branded website. The project captured the personal journeys of participants, and enabled the exploration of:
- expectations
- motivations
- aspirations
- attitudes and perceptions
- learning / skills developed
- challenges
- personal experiences
- goals achieved
- and benefits / impact.

Family Fun
‘Family Fun’ project looked to use creative and interactive approaches to consultation and evaluation to gather family’s thoughts, experiences and feedback on the ‘Family Fun’ sessions run as part of the NHS Community Health – Healthy Lifestyles Team physical activity programme delivered across the borough.

Map my Journey
Map my Journey encouraged service users of NHS Walsall Lifestyle Services to reflect and share their experiences of the services they have come in contact with. A two day event was facilitated which allowed participants to take a journey through a series of interactive stands and ‘checkpoints’.

Fit Food
‘FIT FOOD’ is a child friendly, interactive DVD resource with supporting teacher’s lesson plans and guidelines and children’s activity book which has been developed to support the Key Stage 2 PSHE curriculum. The DVD resource includes film, animation, drama, music, interviews, research and humour to explore topic areas around healthy eating, nutrition and physical activity.
